McGreevey to enter Episcopal seminary

NEWARK, N.J. - The nation's first openly gay governor has become an Episcopalian and been accepted into a seminary, according to a published report.



Former Gov. James E. McGreevey, who was raised as a Roman Catholic, was officially received into the Episcopal religion on Sunday at St. Bartholomew's Church in New York, said the Rev. Kevin Bean, vicar at the church.

Not that I disapprove of anyone being gay, but something about Gay + Priest + his previous controversies, has me wondering about his potential ulterior motivations.

I think the only real problem is with Catholic priests, as they are the ones who are racked with guilt and deny their sexuality. Repression = bad.

What I was thinking, but I wasn't going there until someone else did. 😉 Some homosexual men are stalkers, who are constantly trying to hook up. I said some, not all. We've all met the super persistent type.

I actually liked him when he was first elected as Gov and certainly a better choice than his opponent Bret Schundler, but he went rapidly downhill from there. I didn't care about his being gay but the politics and shenanigans were a mess.

why would he need to go to all that trouble? I can't imagine that it would be terribly difficult for him to find casual sex partners if that is what he wanted.
