Jetta Laptops, advice

I'm looking to get a laptop, like to stay under or around $2500. I'm not a lightweight freak, but dont want to lug a brick. Basically, I want something with good performance (heh I am an AT'er), by that i mean something i can play UT or whatever on the road with and get decent gcc compile times. Also, ethernet capability is a must, onboard would be nice, but I can deal with a pc card. Well I think everyone can kinda gather where I'm comin from, basically I need a notebook that I can game/work with and take to Con's like h2k2 and defcon ..
I used to work at a company that sold Jetta 'books , they were pretty nice from what I saw, not bad in price, and had a 72hour turnaround time with any problems, but I didnt have a lot of exposure, here is a link to their products

Ya they only sell Intel .. I was looking at the P4 system the 7800, its actaully cheaper than the 9200 with Taulitin. But the Tual' looks nice 1ghz with Wireless and Ethernet, bout ~400 or so more .. Well I only looked at Jetta, if anyone has any thoughts which of those or on better systems to choose I'd appreciate
the input. thanks in advance ..
