I'm watching the Jets vs Titans and both teams are wearing throwback jerseys. Apparantly the NFL is allowing the Titans to wear the Oilers uniforms. Seriously, if I was a Oiler fan or from Houston I'd be pissed. That team moved from Houston on their own and really should not be allowed to wear anything from the Oilers past.

I'd be the same if the Ravens were to wear the Browns throwbacks. If they wanted to do a throwback game then how about wearing the Titans inaugural jerseys?? Every time I look at them I think the Jets are playing Houston....ugh
 
there'd be a dilemma if they were gonna have a throwback day at the ravens and browns game...

As far as I know the past goes with the franchise. Bud can do whatever he wants and obviously he doesn't care about people in Houston who stopped going to the football games before he left.

The franchise owns the rights to the jerseys and the name, not the city.

the nfl "didn't let" the titans wear the oilers, the titans are the oilers. the ravens could not wear the old browns jerseys because when they moved the team dissolved it's relation to the browns as a franchsie and started a new team in baltimore.
 
It to celbrate the old AFL which the Jets (titans) and Titians (oilers) were part of. Notice the refs had red stripes an AFL thing too
