random question, if you think the other team is going to go for a blocked punt, can the punter line up say 20 yards behind the center instead of 15? I dont think Ive ever seen anyone do that.

yeah pretty sure he can set up as far away as he wants...but remember..the farther away..the harder it is for the center to get it to him.

Thanks, I was thinking of a situation like the Seahawks game yesterday when its more important to simply kick the ball away than to get any real distance vs getting the ball blocked.

true but like i said you then run the risk of the guy missing the ball and it going no where....
