I believe there was a thread several years ago where this guy did the Grand Canyon. Here he is with his apprentice/protege flying around Dubai. Suffice to say they're probably coming home full of bullet holes or exploded if they did this in NYC.

I think the smoke that you see is not exhaust, but typical smoke generating machine that you see in these exhibitions where the trails are supposed to be seen.

Those turbines weigh just 5 pounds. Seriously cool tech and only $5k each!

Listed thrust is 52 lbs, so he's generating like 208 lbs of thrust in flight - or maybe that do more at full throttle, because that doesn't sound like very much for maneuvering, especially vertically? Maybe the wings are helping a whole lot.

Hilarious part to this video is that you're going to have every "hold my beer" douchebag emailing this company asking how much it costs to try one of those things out. Clearly they are not going to be renting them out. It probably takes tremendous skill and a lot of training to learn to fly one.

I suspect there was official approval/endorsement, because without that, you have jet aircraft buzzing around all your buildings, yes, there will be some military flying out to greet you. I doubt building defenses would immediately open up, but they would attempt to get in contact. No idea if those guys have typical aircraft radio systems.
