If you try booking tickets with the actual dates you will/might be travelling, it'll give you the rates on the page. Some days have discounted fares, while others don't. It's likely that one way will be discounted while the other will be at regular price. However, with the website, you can select a different day using the drop down box to see if another specific day has the discounted rate. Try it.

Sort of. I tried finding the $29 rate until mid-August, and I came up with nothing. The best I got was $39 (one way) on a Wednesday. Most of the other weekdays was $59 or $69 each way.

hmm, i just switched around my flight dates and i guess the price does show sale prices for Burbank -> NYY as well. (the sale prices listed are for each way).
i guess i just confused myself 😱
