I needed a VM for . . . stuff.

So I got the .iso copy from the Linux Mint (Cinnamon) site and installed it in VMWare.

Only needed for browsing some less than trustworthy sites so I didn't poke around much into the innards but the process really was painless.

Why Broadcom uses the virtual machine image file format when VMWare wants an .iso, I have no idea. But what would the tech world be w/o stupid shit like that? Gotta keep the users frosty.

Like, an .ova? You can just import those directly rather than installing the iso, though that isn't too onerous with Linux anyhow.
