Yep real big meg tooth. I'd be interested to see how that one cleaned up more. Cleaning though, no alteration or repair attempts mind you (never). Once in a lifetime find there, and in water too. I wonder if that was in the Chesapeake.

I own a pretty large collector's grade meg tooth, a little over 5" and it's one of my mostest favoritest of things. Enamel, serrations, an intact tip, that ridge part that I forget the name of, the root, it's all there. To think this thing in my hand could have been swimming around looking for a meal back while our ancestors were just starting to descend from trees. I chuckle in awe.
