I've got a situation like this with one of my customers: Multi-user business, roaming Windows profiles, home directories on the network, users' 'Documents' etc folders in those home directories, etc.

One of those users is 'Paul'. In the Home directories folder I've ended up with a folder called 'Paul', and somehow another one called 'Paul ' (with the space as some kind of non-printable character I think, it looks like a space though). The user has some files in one folder, some in the other. I've never had the heart to really try and fix it and it's never seemed to cause a problem (except in my brain, thinking THIS IS WRONG, WHY DO I HAVE TO LOOK AT THIS ATROCITY).
