MEK is a household product? 😱

It's model cement, so I guess so?
Methyl Ethyl Ketone is in modeling cement? That explains allot. I worked with it at a Urethane Molding company that produced parts mainly for the automotive sector*. MEK did a great job cleaning urethane foam off my small batch process equipment. But, I worked with it with lab coat, gloves, face shield and in a room with a very strong vent hood. You can have a bad day with MEK. Of course, there's worse stuff.

* They also made the foam cylinders used in the original RoxShox for mountain bikes.

Damn. Hottest I ever saw in Doha was 120, and that was brutal. This pic makes me really glad I'm not over there now, that's 'walk down the street and you can die' weather. Even bedouin are like, FUCK

I sure hope that's ground temp and not air.

With that water temp tho...

Edit: nope, apparently that was the legit heat index. Fuck that's hot.

You can cold smoke a nice hunk of meat starting at around 155 F, I think, and it don't take all that long, really. lol.

We did the 'egg on the pavement' test that day I mentioned, I remember it cooking really fast. Sadly no bacon to be had there back them, though I'm told you can get it now (expats anyway, regulated like booze).

At what point does the water get so hot it doesn't really work for the cooling of ship engines? Not just over there too, water down off The Keys hit 96F/35C recently I saw. No more jumping overboard to cool off on a hot day of fighting dolphin, sails and tuna.

yeah, I've umm seen this once, maybe twice myself at Costco in the past. I tell everyone, lol.

There's many reasons I rarely eat any kind of fish--that is one of them. And certainly I never come near that shit that I know came through Costco.

Same. Not interested in parasites and heavy metals, or getting ripped off in a way that sends me to a doctor. Getting escalar instead of tuna, for example. I'm still suprised to see people buy farm raised salmon. Nooope.

I mean farm raised anything comes with potential issues. What do you only eat things you hunted yourself?
