That's actually pretty appropriate, as Stalin was indeed known for having possibly the darkest and cruelest sense of humour ever. (Hilter's "humour" in contrast was like that of a toddler at best. I've yet to hear any of Putin's material)


Gallows humor. It's out there.

Thing is, it just isn't that funny, at least if you've never heard the story it's just puzzling. I had to use tineye to find out what the actual story was.

It's funny cause it's a "surprise" ending. You start reading and get an idea of where things are going, and then it gets turned around. It's like the 'Man and the elephant' story.

See, that one's kind of funny. Can't tell you why it's different, it just is. Maybe the first one's ending was just 'weak' because it made no sense, and wasn't a twist on an existing established trope.

I think it's cause the picture text was so short. There wasn't enough time to suck you into the narrative.
