Except back in the day you were most likely playing stickball with the same kid you popped in the mouth later the same afternoon!
Nowadays you would very likely be arrested and your parents sued into oblivion!
Odd, I never played stickball with any of the pieces of shit that bullied me as a kid.

I got in multiple scraps with with other kids that I ended up being friends with.... and now that I think about it at least one kid that did try to pick on me until I beat him severely about the head and neck with my backpack literally on the last day of school. (he later apologized)
Only people I ever fought were ones that bullied me, and I sure as shit never made friends with any of them. Different era (or personality) I guess.Who said anything about getting bullied?

I totally get being bullied too.... I was picked on horribly after moving when I was about 12 years old and the vast majority of the people that harassed me on the school bus I didn't become friends with either.
It 99.9% stopped after I clocked the one bully I did end up friends with because he was a school "tough-guy" and I sent him home crying. (we're still friends to this day too unlike the vast majority of folks from back then)
Despite the relatively "happy" ending in my case nobody should have to go through that crap as a kid ever for any reason.

I 100% agree kids do shit. Growing up in the 70's and 80's I got my ass beat and I beat some ass. As an adult I realize there are times when it is appropriate to deal with things like this.
That was the equivalent of a sucker punch.
