Agreed. People that pick up our trash, through all sorts of weather, and often at odd hours, should be paid more too, and probably with better benefits
 
They do OK. Good union jobs most times with benefits. I work around all sorts of construction workers at non-union jobs, doing physically demanding and debilitating work with little benefits. Those are the guys that get to 50 and are broken down with nothing to show for it, I want to take care of them better.
