ETA: The Google maps link is a divergent diamond interchange. They are so much better than the typical diamond, but people fight against them like crazy.
We have a new divergent diamond here, works great. We were promised a round about at another intersection but the planners chickened out and put in a light instead, pissed me off.

Even the simplest of traffic circles here are completely beyond the ability of the simplest of drivers to negotiate. I don't mind the circles, they could improve traffic flow, except for the stupid fucking morons that can't grasp the concept.
Some of it is a lack of familiarity. But a lot of it is stupidity.

Ghandi would be proud. Huge vagana fan.

I need to know that this is real

IDK.... maybe its because traffic-circles are relatively common in New England (particularly the Boston area) but most people around here don't seem to have any more trouble with them then they do with driving in general!

Isn't that what most relationships actually are? Sex for a fee? Dude must provide material goods and emotional comfort for the gates to open. Then it fizzles because one or both sides think they are not getting what they think they are worth.

if your definition of human interaction is purely transactional then...yeah, I guess?

seriously, though, wtf man.

I question your reading comprehension. Pretty sure I worded my statement in such a manner that leaves the door open for some actual loving relationships to form.
This society promotes an ideal of no -transactional resolution but usually shit gets resolved via the legal system with little regard for unwritten rules. That's how other societies got shoved off of their land.

Only twats with gullibility would believe any old stranger has a benevolent investment in someone's elses welfare. Tragedies like the Lyon sisters getting kidnapped are firm lessons.

The reality is that Anglo society inherently has sociopathic and psychopathic features best exploited by sociopaths and psychopaths.

Following social norms is a hopelessly unreliable method of determining character of another.

Is it just me... doesn't that look confusing as hell at first glance?
I assume at ground level with good signs it's probably not as confusing.
Is that a bicycle lane going over everything?
Apart from the cycle infrastructure, I guess Swindon's "magic roundabout" can match that
(I heard you like roundabouts, so I put a roundabout in your roundabout)

I've been through that a few times for the heck of it... It's kind of like Plinko, you just bounce around and come out somewhere, hopefully close to your intended direction.

I assume that every American who's ever visited Swindon is still there, going round-and-round that thing for all eternity.
