Theres way too many "talent" shows and they all suck and most of them are way too popular. I think Americans are just dumb and easily entertained.
There are so many talent shows because they are super cheap to produce, no script writers or actors to pay.
yeah but thats just cutting cost. You still need income. Which in TV terms means you need viewers, to get ratings, to get advertisers, to give you money. Its still ridiculous that so many people watch the shows at all. Theres better stuff on TV and if you dont like TV you have streaming services with movies, you have games, you could read a book, or some trash like Mad Magazine. Or go for a walk. Or sit on your bed and just stare. Theres so many things better than non-talent shows.
