The kids, when walking into the wind, and closer to the street, appear to struggle just about as much but they have the benefit of leaning forward into the wind as opposed to hunching over with their back to the wind. And that might just be a building which would be creating an extensive wind shadow, which is why they only appear to really struggle when closer to the street.
The wind is really whipping.
My parents used to hide the ATX power cable from me when I was a youngster and they didn't want me on the computer. Fortunately, I had a few spares.

I am guessing here, but it seems like he is throwing in a burning cigarette butt into that hole and there was probably a build of gas below from a gas leak.

There's been a lot of speculation that the Doom music is just copied from various rock songs. There *are* a number of tracks that sound very similar.
