Alligator is the only reptile meat I've ever eaten. It was disgusting. Taste reminds me of the smell of sewage or something septic. I have a feeling most non-insectivore carnivores taste nasty.The meat of those is far from seeming like it's a reptile.

However alligator tail served as breaded bites is currently the only reptilian meat I have ever consumed, so I cannot compare whether there is a common reptile flavor.
