Back in the early 90s, fractal generation / Mandelbrot set exploration programs were a big thing. Unfortunately the hardware really wasn't up to the task. With modern video cards, I would think that this type of program would fly. Anyone know of a good one? The times I've looked, all I seem to get are really sketchy websites.
Big oops and god knows how much money they wasted on this sign that has the town names reversed. Syosset is North haha.

Signs like that are probably only a couple hundred bucks. And as long as your local government didn't Outsource All The Things, it's probably just a few hours of payroll to hang a new one.
I'm not so sure about that in the land of unions around here. I am curious about the validity of the cost though... that seems low to me.
