Especially when we factor in the military procurement bureaucracy structure and dynamics?

Also, I have a hard time believing the body would make up most of the cost, when designing legs that can move such a vehicle, and do so with decent performance, durability, and reliability, would be not only absolutely expensive, it would also probably be very time consuming and hard to pull off. Especially when we have never done anything like it before in the military.

And that infographic is not even taking into account the research/development/prototyping costs, and it never mentions how big the procurement order is, so we have no idea just how much economy of scale such a cost per unit would require even if it was possible.
