I don't think it hit the player.

Hit the player's bat, which is in foul territory. And in general, it hit an object which was in foul territory, so it cannot rebound into fair territory and be a fair ball.

Also, pretty sure you can't legally double-hit a ball.

Rule 6.05(h): If a bat breaks and part of it is in fair territory and is hit by a batted ball or part of it hits a runner or fielder, play shall continue and no interference be called. If batted ball hits part of broken bat in foul territory, it is a foul ball.

So the gif further up is a foul. The gif I'm quoting is fair.
