i don't get it

i still don't get it.

He's Apple's design guy and presumably did the Apple Watch design. The Swiss are known for watchmaking.

"According to a designer who works at Apple, Jonathan Ive, Apple’s design chief, in bragging about how cool he thought the iWatch was shaping up to be, gleefully said Switzerland is in trouble — though he chose a much bolder term for 'trouble' to express how he thought the watchmaking nation might be in a tough predicament when Apple’s watch comes out," the report elaborated.

Really shows how ignorant he is of the market he's [not] jumping into. He's looking to sell watches to tech snobs trend snobs, not watch snobs. No one who owns or aspires to own a Rolex, Breitling, et al is going to be giving thought to replacing it with a 'smartwatch.'

I thought it was a joke. Apple really is making a watch that costs $350 and links to your phone.

The old saying really is true, no one ever went broke underestimating the stupidity of that American public.

They aren't the first...?

Smartwatches really aren't that stupid, not if done tastefully. This one doesn't look that well - I don't care what added functionality is there, I'd rather wear the Moto 360 every day before I wore the Apple Watch every day.

Why you should never let your GF write a shopping list:

She doesn't specify what kind of cheese, yet wants to make sure you get the kind of ground turkey that is...meat. And I don't even think 'soy milk coffee' is a thing so much as it is three random words.

Clearly this woman is terrible in the kitchen, and deserving of jack shit.

Obviously she was running out of room so soy milk and coffee are two separate things written on the same line.

And I guess maybe she was specifying ground turkey meat since she had deli meat written further up. Stupid way to write it, I agree. But that had to be her line of thinking.

😵
I can't help it, but that Susie guy could just talk all day at me and I'd sit and listen.

Dat voice.

I'm pretty sure that guy does "Let's Play" videos for assorted horror games, although I can't remember his username. Amazing voice though.

EDIT: Oh, it's in the description, nvm.
