I recently saw one of these Camaros on the road and realized just how poorly they've aged in terms of design. I remember they looked futuristic at the timed they were released, but they look absolutely terrible today.

This I think.I've been hearing people make that reference forever, and am still trying to figure out where exactly the humor comes from.
Is it because Elaine used it on Seinfeld? I don't care, my douchbagometer pegs when I hear it.
A Ozzy couple actually went on trial for murder in the late 80s when they went on a camping trip in the outback and their 2 year old toddler went missing. They claimed a Dingo dragged their child off into the night and killed it. I think they were actually found guilty initially and later exonerated. But "A Dango ate mah babay!" was quite a common theme when I was growing upI've been hearing people make that reference forever, and am still trying to figure out where exactly the humor comes from.

On the bright side the cars have aged much better than the drivers. People who drove those cars look REALLY bad now, usually it's a combination of a wife-beater, jean shorts, bald on top and a permed mullet in the rear.
Guys, I asked where the humor was. Holy widespread reading fail batman! I'm quite aware of what happened - my curiosity relates to how an infant being devoured by dingos and the subsequent hell her mother went through is anything to crow about and turn into a punchline or meme. Back in the 80s living in the ME, my mother had Brit and Aussie friends of hers almost come to blows over it in our living room in front of my sister and I.
Anyone who thinks that shit is funny should check out your links though.
Good thing they don't have the death penalty there, eh?A Ozzy couple actually went on trial for murder in the late 80s when they went on a camping trip in the outback and their 2 year old toddler went missing. And people think Catholics are weird.I forgot how funny this is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HqYAyBNk16A
I think the humor comes from the fact that no one believed the family for years after it happened...then the actual evidence was found and everyone kinda shut up about it.I think the humor simply comes from the basic premise, once you boil it down and remove the "this actually happened - brutally" from the idea. Most importantly, it just came to be? Language and memes are notoriously fickle and inconsistent, and often not exactly of sound morals.![]()
