Always keep in mind the information bias present nowadays - someone gets attacked by a cat in northwestern Alaska, and some useless producers at major news outlets decide that that qualifies as a newsworthy event, people around the world can hear about it within a few minutes.


Another thought: Based on various observations, such as a trend of parents becoming increasingly afraid of punishing their kids for anything, and also comments on Youtube on any cat video, wherein virtually any kind of interaction with a cat beyond a light pat on the head has people screaming "ABUSE!!!", I bet that some of these cats haven't been properly trained or raised. They're not the alpha of the group, and there are rules to be followed, and failure to comply has consequences.
