IIRC the guy was slashing the trucks tyres. The knife he had in his hand is the cause of the blood. He did not lose his arm.

Just from the talk about it back in college (engineering program), I got the distinct impression that you do not screw around with pressure vessels.

Normal car tires (at normal pressure) won't hurt you. LOL @ the thought of slashing truck tires, though. You're talking up to 85psi or so for 'load rated' pickup/van tires and I think a little over 100 for semis. Add to that the fact that the reinforced sidewalls will probably deform a lot less, meaning the blast of air from a cut would be very focused.
