Hard to believe someone would be bounding down like that and still be terrified to look down and see where they're at. When I had to rappel, I was pretty damned scared of heights, but it went away after I backed over the edge and took my first hop.

I did that on my first rappel, I was looking but misjudged. Landed on my kiester on a pile of shale chips. I was about 10 at the time 😵
