First one is a phone number written as a stereotypical black/ghetto person would pronounce it. 954-4495

Second is the Trix cereal rabbit. Watch a Trix commercial on YouTube.

So then there's that awkward moment where you think "Yeah, but they forgot the area code".

Most places don't need to specify an area code because there are no overlapping area codes. They aren't even required to dial them and it often will not work if they do. "Eight. Six. Seven. Five. Three-Oh Ni-e-eye-in."

I'm from the Atlanta region with over-lapping and area codes in the same local calling area (404, 678, 770) which REQUIRE you to use the area code even when dialing a phone with the same area code. I went to San Diego and it would trip me up almost every time when I would use the area code to dial an 858 number from an 858 phone or a 619 number from a 619 phone and it would not work. WHY? I dialed EXTRA information that should work regardless.

That song is 30 years old. It needs an area code now:p

BTW I agree that is the stupidest possible solution. You MUST know the area code of the phone you are using so you can compare it to the one you are calling, and decide if you:

1. Must enter the area code
2. Cannot use the area code.

And I sometimes had additional monkey wrenches thrown in, such as being unsure if dialing a 1 was required or causing a problem and not being sure if I had reached an outside line by dialing 9 or not (faxing at an office machine). It took a ridiculous amount of trial and error and made it look like I didn't know how to dial a freakin' phone.

In my area you aren't required to use the area code for landline, vonage, twc or ooma. But for some reason FIOS requires it.

Why do you keep posting nothing?

I edited out some drunk posts I made ;).
