I once took the time to explain to my stupid jesus freak coworker how, if true, the Noah's arc story would have left clear genetic/biological evidence that doesn't exist.

At the tower of babble, shortly after the flood, God re-distributed living beings across the world: confusing their languages and ostensibly creating a great deal of genetic diversity.

^^ don't get it

Can someone explain the fishing bobbers Noah? is throwing into the water? That's what they look like to me anyway.

Fishing with pokemon bait is how Noah fed all the animals on board the ark. Thereby, overcoming the logistical problems infidels believe proves the history of the ark could have never happened.

What the heck is the Hume reference? Can someone explain that? HIs middle name is Hume? What's that mean?
Jesus H. Christ!

"H" is for Humor.

Given the time frame, not enough to cause the divergences observed today.

There has never been such a global cataclysm in human history or prehistory. Many floods in various regions (especially in the river valleys that have supported human settlements for so long), but no actual global cataclysm.

We wouldn't have survived something along the lines of what killed the dinosaurs. Our only chance now is to deflect another asteroid.

Plus, there was never a single language. By the time humanity developed anything we close to a real language, we had spread out pretty far. American indian languages did not evolve from Indo-European.

They're just stories & myths.

You're not a literalist, are you? You don't strike me as stupid enough to actually believe that.

Nice trolling :colbert: 😛

Creationist: Evolution is nonsense!*

*Except for the hyper-evolution that would be required to generate the presently-observed genetic diversity from a bottleneck event like a global flood as recent as 5000 years ago.

Heh heh. Yep, evolution is 'just a theory.' Unfortunately creationism and it's fraternal twin, intelligent design, aren't even theories. They're just hypotheses with no scientific evidence to support them.

However!

I'm sorta kinda sure my reply applies to the divergence of languages as well. :colbert:
