I've never been to Reddit or 4Chan; pretty much all of my silly picture viewing comes from this thread and I'd like to keep it that way.

Agreed - I don't go to those seweresque websites, so if we can get a double filter from 4chan->reddit->here end up with some of the better stuff....well, good. All the more reason to not to go those sites.

Thanks for taking the hit, posters!

edit: PS why are reddit readers so haughty like that? Who cares if something was posted there before it was posted here? Its not like the posters here are taking credit or claiming they were the originators.

lol speaking of doing stupid shit... internationally sanctioned stupid shit!

Actually, that's called "saving your ass" - and he pulled it off pretty damn well.

It was obviously not an intentional off-track passing maneuver, but rather a "oh shit I think if I go over here I'll avoid slamming into the ass of a few cars."

I want to actually look up this race and determine why that all came together that like though. Was there an accident and the rain made it impossible to see a group of cars who slowed way down?

The governing bodies would prefer you slow down and stay on track... but, circumstances looked like that would have been a dangerous proposition for that driver.

Edit:
Found it - and I thought that looked like Spa-Francorchamps. http://www.autoblog.com/2012/07/05/watch-this-19-year-old-f2-racer-dramatically-save-his-own-bacon/
"Actually just to clarify – we had already passed the incident that caused the yellow flags and for the safety car boards to come out. If you look at the car ahead, he was actually pulling away from me up eau rouge, because we were trying to catch up to the safety car. Someone then slowed down on the straight line after eau rouge and that caused everyone to bunch up...so my reactions were not to a yellow flag situation, but to another incident which had just occurred"
