Why is every bullshit poor people food that was only made in the hope they don't starve to death this season called a "delicacy"? Nobody likes that shit. They'd all rather have a pizza, but they're eating bullshit rotten awks because nobody would deliver pizza to fucking Greenland. Calling shit like that a "delicacy" is a just a way to troll people that don't know any better.
Inuit have genetic mutations that allow them to have really high fat and protein intake and very low cardiovascular diseases. Carbs are difficult for them, heavily processed ones more so.
I think I'll dispute your pizza claim. I bet there are Inuit (and others) up there that look at pizza the same way you or I look at really potent, authentic hot pot. We might give it a go, even if we're scared of the consequences. Calculations would be in order.
I did more research into it though, saw some pics. I thought slow elk was bad. Keeping my money on it being "an acquired taste."
