I'd starve to death if I visited China. I'd have to bring a couple of cases of MREs with me :^D

I'd enjoy it if I could stick to vegetarian stuff, but I can't even begin to read Asian writing. I can muddle my way threw Germanic and Romantic, and with a little practice I might be able to tackle Cyrillic, but Asian and Arabic are just too foreign for me to comprehend in any kind of reasonable time limit.

Google Lens to Google Translate should work no? There are vegetarian restaurants in China as well. Not that I plan to ever set foot there.

Maybe. I don't use (optional)google products. There might be a libre solution available, but it's all just academic. I don't really travel, and I'm not rich, so I'd be dead before I got to Asia anyway. My top 5 countries to visit are Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Sweden, and Alaska. Alaska's almost like a different country due to travel time and hassle. If Alaska doesn't count, I'd go for Norway or Finland. I picked Sweden cause I could stock up on snus. It's become a real bastard getting it shipped here the last few months.
