Nah. Wasn't that round. It was more elongated and yellower. It was seriously big enough and heavy enough to hurt someone bad if hurled at someone's head. But it was pure bliss.
Sounds like one of those Guimaras really. Someone I know got to use them in culinary school for a week or so, said they were incredible, one of the best things she'd ever eaten. I read somewhere that's what the WhiteHouse kitchen uses, don't know if it's true though.
I've also had more than one person liken the Philippines to Hawaii when it comes to quality of things grown outdoors. The climate and soil (volcanic) just helps a lot of fruit and veg reach it's full potential and crazy brix levels. I still remember the very first time I bit into a piece of fresh Hawaiian grown pineapple, so that carries weight with me. What a mouth orgy that was.
