I mean...Fallout, Skyrim, Bioware RPGs? Not really the point of her comment. Sure, you can do things like that, sometimes, but that isn't the game mechanic. You don't really progress in those games (you know: reward to continue and finish), without generally being very murdery indeed. And, you really can just do anything you want, with near-zero consequences.

I guess her point is something that specifically creates a reward system for not being an outright dick, and that actually punishes one for it. Left to our own devices in these games, we all pretty much become thieving murderers.
