I mean, you've got to heat up and carefully push off the glue to get it off, if it actually worked. Can't just goo-be-gone or scrape that stuff off, cause you're going to strip the paint. Decent idea? dunno....In the end, you always wind up heating the panel at some point, which is all you need to do.
