well, they're both dumb, at least. Greece certainly wasn't a country then. They were warring nation states for generations. There was no "Greece" as it is known today. I think unification was...also after the USA? I think the same is true for China. At least, what it is today. Iran...lol. seriously?

India is debatable but probably checks out. I think Ethiopia is accurate (though that really goes back to the Nubian Empire; not really Ethiopia?) and certainly Japan. Not sure when what is modern Egypt became a country, but it sure as shit isn't that empire listed in the tweet.

The modern nation state of Iran dates to the fifteenth century. Greece to 1830. It’s fair to say China is that old but not with its current borders. Tibet was historically part of China for only a very short time and clearly has nothing in common with Chinese culture. Same with Inner Mongolia.

Qin Dynasty was around 240 BC. Not sure how you think Japan was one nation before China. Japan was not really united til Tokugawa's Edo period around 1600AD. You could argue Kofun (500AD) is unification I guess. Greece had tons of factions, each a state, same thing with China, India, Japan. I am not familiar with Ethiopia but I imagine it is the same thing, one guy unified a whole bunch of "tribes"

I would say that they are both dumb because "countries" are just lines on a map of land. What the guy seems to be referring to is when a government or a ruling entity was present over a certain land area - and that land area has likely also been altered from the original date he is presenting.
