So I was watching the 2008 Speed Racer movie on Netflix. Originally saw it with my son when he was young. It’s not really a bad movie.

The one thing that got me was just how over the top the cars are:

I played a few rounds of Battleship yesterday on this Game Boy I picked up for $2.

The screen issue with missing vertical lines is easy to fix -- just a quick pass with a soldering iron. The adhesive gunk (from duct tape?) all over seems to come off, but it's going to require a lot of effort. Still, I think it's going to be a nice restoration.
