If you read the ingredients of both, Dayquil is just half the ingredients/strength. No need to spend the same amount and pay for half in Dayquil. Just take a half of Nyquil dose for the day.

If you read the ingredients of both (and are actually capable of reading, not just moving your lips and pretending to be literate) you'll see that's complete bullshit. Most of the ingredients are similar, but NyQuil contains doxylamine succinate, a powerful antihistamine which is the active ingredient in many OTC sleep aids. DayQuil does not have an antihistamine.
