I did, but unless you are up to speed on the noise measurement of every Radeon card out there, it is kind of lost in translation, because all video cards are loud :) I assumed it was about a specific card being louder than others.

This would make more sense if you could actually see what was on the meter.

It's not a sound meter per se. It's a Sony PCM M-10 sound recorder. The green lights indicate that the sound volume is in the -12dB range and the lack of red lights indicate that it is below the 0dB clipping threshold. However, since the sensitivity level is adjustable, we don't know what any of that actually means.

Looking at the focus planes in the image, either the photographer used a tilt/shift lens, a view camera, or, more likely, the image has been photoshopped. If photoshopped, we know even less about the relationship between the recorder and the noise level of the video card.

Advertising your gpu's to make more noise is never a good idea. ;)
