I don't get that at all. How can an escalator be that complicated

I'm guessing the people of Uzbekistan aren't used to things moving under their own power.

pretty sure if you put them in an elevator they'd lose their shit.

If you are talking about overly-attached girlfriend, no, that's not Laina.
She was attempting the OAG stare in that gif though.

I remember when like 2000 people from Kripps twitch started flooding FrankerZ in her chat during spacejam. Was actually legitly funny. Congratulations to the one person who understood that sentence.

I was at a mall a couple weeks ago. Stepped on an escalator heading down and immediately realized I had to go back up (I parked in a different place than usual). The return escalator was turned-off and blocked with a barricade. I had to walk almost the entire length of the mall to get to some STAIRS so I could get back up to the level I came from. If I was going to climb stairs anyway, why not allow me to walk up the disabled escalator? *Grumble

From the looks of it, it malfunctions and the hand rail becomes stationary while the steps keep moving.

Look at the kid hanging on. The hand rail should be pulling him upward, but it's not.

That's what I think too. The old guy doesn't have any trouble until the moment he holds on to the rail, than he loses his balance.
