No. According to Forbes there are ~700 multi-billionaires (those with over 2 billion. We owe China over $1.3 trillion. So that would only cover half of what we owe China. In total the federal debt is over $16.8 trillion. The debt to China is just a small part of the federal debt.

You missed one other critical flaw in his statement; he's looking at billionaires WORLDWIDE. Why would billionaires in other countries be paying off America's national debt? According to Forbes, there are a grand total of 442 billionaires in America, and that's including those with "only" $1 billion; it's closer to ~300 or so with $2 Billion or more. Just an utter math fail post on his part.

Oh okay, just going the basics of hear say, I like how people like to feel all important to cash in on a simple flaw by mentioning mathimatics. lol Like I give a shit. I dident know the whole story, and as for repaying half, with each multi billionaires, c'mon Bill gates alone has more than 60 billion, just one man can make a differnce, all americas billionares could chip in enough to pay china back right here and now.

But I guess thats how it works...at this point, even if china were to cash in and demand a payment, what could they enforce? Not much, since america is trigger happy with nukes.

Whoa.

WHOA!

lol...

How can we have sweep stake winners and lotery winners that can bank over 400 hundred million dollars having the state throw away that much money to a individual when millions are starving, billions of $$$ to throw around by building senseless roads, and trillions on new housings when millions of houses have no one living in them abanded, evicted and has ghost towns where no one lives...yet we have a huge debt with china...???

Fucking face palm, if every multi-billionair gives just 1 Billion out of there pockets we could repay china and be done with it.

We would need 17,000 billionaires, I don't think there are that many.

From Forbes

"The U.S. is home to 442 billionaires, 17 more than a year ago and 320 more than China"

The debt is $17 trillion, 35 times as much. Do you rationally think if all the debt was magically paid tomorrow that congress would not increase spending until we could borrow no more again?

Got to be trolling. Nobody could possibly be that stupid by accident, it has to be on purpose.

Why should he spend his money to bail-out the government (even though it's just a drop in the bucket)? He's doing far more important / noble things with his money than helping to perpetuate out-of-control government spending.

Gawd that's embarrassing. I can understand wanting a tattoo and I can understand bargain hunting, but I can't understand doing both things at the same time. I mean it's permanent.

*I don't know how accurate the numbers are, there's a similar image out there where the numbers are roughly doubled, but still, it's permanent.
