You missed one other critical flaw in his statement; he's looking at billionaires WORLDWIDE. Why would billionaires in other countries be paying off America's national debt? According to Forbes, there are a grand total of 442 billionaires in America, and that's including those with "only" $1 billion; it's closer to ~300 or so with $2 Billion or more.
