The paddling backhoe is so awesome I cannot find words to describe how enamored I am with it. The fire/gas sucking the tire back onto the rim is pretty cool as well.

What exactly is the "bubble" of grass?

I'd say water. I've seen that a lot, but not nearly that bad. It's pretty cool walking on saturated ground, and have it wave under foot. It's really impressive when big equipment drives over it.

Damn, I've never seen it before. Is it softer than dry ground? I'd imagine it would be somewhat, since any impacts would be more cushioned. Playing football on something like that would be awesome.

I've seen a grass bubble before. The one I saw was caused by a broken line in our sprinkler system. Water was coming up but couldn't penetrate the sod very well, so it made a sod bubble.
