That was the intent, but since the opposite of "always" is "not always" (which could be sometimes) it kinda falls apart from the get-go.

If that's your standard, then the opposites for each item on that list:

Not always
Not coming
Not from
Not take
Not me
Not down

Those aren't opposites though. The opposite of "down" isn't "every possible direction except for down," it's "up." It's a diametric opposition. The diametric opposition of "always" is "never."

it makes my funny bone sad that you had to explain that.

I wasn't getting that you have to pull the shirt between the folds. Got it now. My wife was impressed, but yeah, I usually hang my polos too.

Well...I mean she hangs them. I'm not allowed to do laundry :$

Ah, you pulled the "if I fuck up her stuff one time, she'll let me off the hook forever" trick, eh?
I wish I had someone to pull that on. I'm stuck doing my own. :(

This is correct.

Never = this happens no times at all
Always = this happens every time

not always = opposite of always, occupies the probability space not occupied by always
never = AN opposite of always, occupies some small portion of the probability space not occupied by always

not always occupies a greater definitional domain upon which to develop opposition to always.

This is a CONSTANT problem in developing psychological questionnaires.

"I enjoy my job" Strongly disagree
"I dislike my job" Strongly disagree
wtf?
answer: "I just kind of put up with my job, but it isn't bad."

dislike is not the opposite of enjoy; never is not the opposite of never.

DERP

That's why there are not just two choices on those tests, usually three in between...your argument is moot
