Anime sux. Its the sweatshop version of actual animation. Every good American cartoon has been animelized, or driven out by anime. Beast Wars, Roughnecks, The ORIGINAL transformers, War Planets, the list goes on. Now there is onlt sh!t like pokemon and yugioh. They even have fvcking card games now! ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

I'm not an anime fan but anime usually has much better story, etc than American cartoons. And it's American cartoons that actually use cheap foreign labor to do the drawing.

When I was still in high-school (I can't remember how long ago exactly) there was a 3D rendered transformers show on called Beast Wars that was actually pretty cool. I guess there were three "seasons" of it - although I never saw more than one.

I wonder if it's out on DVD - that might be worth netflixing.

BW also had a couple of episodes with the original Transformers.

As to other cartoons; the first season of Robotech still kicks ass. This was the old school anime before it becamse complete garbage with the massive exagerration. Unfortunately, the new Batman series is anime-style. For Christmas I got the 3rd season boxset of Batman: The Animated series. Now THAT was a good series. Then it jumped the shark when it moved to WB, Batman became a jerk, horrible character redesigns, and a 10-year old Robin, but the first 3 seasons were great.

Beast Wars was the best Transformers show. Far above the original.
