Yes I know it's the cesspool of the Internet. Yes I know the FBI will be at my door for looking at 4chan child pr0n or worse. But that's not what I'm talking about. How the fuck do people use that place as a board. The way it's displayed and the volume of posts makes it so that one page refresh and the post you were looking at is on page 10 or 15?!
 
It takes a bit of getting used to but it's not that bad. I'm still not sure how to post and then see the thread that you posted in. The only thing I can do is copy the URL and paste it again after I make my post.

The wallpaper section is pretty awesome if nothing else.
 
Stay away from /b and stay on the better boards 🙂 😛

If you like comics and cartoons, 4chan's /co/ board is probably the best comic and cartoon board I've found on the net.

Having said that, you don't go to 4chan for deep long philosophical discussions, you go there to shoot the bull. If you miss a thread, big deal, just post in the next one.

i'm not sure you can, if the thread you posted in falls off the 10/15 pages from lack of posts it's gone forever unless someone archived it
 
I'm just glad that I first found the internet at an age where 4Chan wouldn't be entertaining...by rational people, at least.

Unusual and thought-provoking, occasionally; but overly-dependent on the low-brow, insider, non-clever type of mind to appreciate.

Type noko in the E-mail field. I spend a bit of time on 4chan.. sure it's pretty terrible in some ways, but it really could be worse. /b/ is a cesspool but it's fun anyway. I like /r9k/ and /g/.

My prob with 4chan is the leak over into other boards and forums. I am sick of people saying "cool story bro" or posting pedobear everywhere.

There is a time and a place for everything, 4chan is that place. Keep the nonsense there.

If 4Chan confuses you, then you definitely should not go back.

/b/ is fun to screw around with, but in a bit more seriousness the /hr/ high resolution board sometimes has really great images.
 
I went on it once, then left. I never understood why boards with super horrible forum software end up being the most popular. Even fusetalk would be an upgrade to what they have.
