How come i never seen the story of the 3 marines in one humvee that killed about 30 people after crashing a machinegun nest with a humvee? How come the only time i heard about the soldiers that died trying to pull people outta burning APCs in Falujah was on discovery channel?? Read the stories from the congressional medal of honor to see what it means to "be a hero". She is not and it's disrespectful to all the fallen soldiers to partray her as one

I don't see the political benefit derived by The President in 'courting' Ms Lynch. It infuriates the left does nothing for the right and just don't seem to have much in it for the undecided at this point. I think it is a means of showing concern for the folks who served and are serving. Someone has to be hoisted above the current issues of military misbehavior in that prison and Ms Lynch is a pretty good choice. A girl who was in harms way.. a hero.. they are all heroes. She's just one who many know as being maybe brutalized and thus reducing the impact of our own behavior... Is that political? Maybe, but to me it is more to the moral of the troops currently in harms way. They need to know they as individuals and Americans are loved by their fellow citizens and supported regardless of the insanity that may require them to be there.

She made a wrong turn and got into a car accident. She wans't wounded in combat... she wasnt even conscious thru the combat.

This media crap makes me sick down to my stomach. There are 800 brave soldiers who gave their lives for this country, including a man who turned down celebrity life and 20mil dollars to die for what he blieved.

It physically sickens me to see this person on TV being called a hero. The only reason why she's on the TV is because shes young, white and christian. A great rolemodel for this country .... look at this young christian girl who fought for this country! She represents all there is american! All while there are marines and army soldiers DYING on daily basis.


Can you name the people that died actually defending the convoy after it crashed?

Dude, don't blame Jessica Lynch for this, blame Bush and his media machine. He is the one inviting her to talk and allowing the cameras everywhere. You think she has any say in this show?

Somebody needs to glorify this war and make it good vs. evil and hero vs. villain, so that simple minded American will support it. This is espcially a crucial time because some of the pre-war BS this Admin spewed has just been discredited by the 911 commission. What better way to make American people feel good about themselves and about this war then Bush putting someone out there who looks just like your average everyday American, and making her the hero.
