No, but I don't believe any hurdle is so big from one group to another that it cannot be easily cleared. Simple and responsible decision making will help you succeed. Don't have a baby you can't afford, especially as a teenager, with a "father' unlikely to be around. Don't commit crimes. Put in effort to work and learn Do that an it will be hard to fail in America.

Okay, if they are not equal, then is it okay to discuss the inequality in society to try and do something about it?

Lol at that quote, whoever he is. Africa might be a much better place if it had not been used to play "Risk" by colonial powers.

Slavery was a terrible thing, but I've always maintained the position that if one is an African American christian, it would make sense that some part of that person would have to be pro slavery, because without it there is a good chance they wouldn't have met their god... don't want to burn forever and all that. Luckily for me I lean agnostic. But, at least Jesse is logically on point there.

Absolutely. But we shouldn't make mountains out of molehills and the left has to stop pushing the victim mentality. There are some very privileged people out there that have nothing to do with race, oh well. The vast majority of us have to take the opportunities we have and make them work. And today, in America, there is no person that doesn't have plenty of opportunity right in front of themselves. But the leftist participation trophy crowd wants everything handed to them, no responsibility for poor decision making, build class and race lines between us, blame, blame blame. $15/hr for flipping burgers and putting cheese on them... amirite?

Probably. There were some areas of Africa where civilizations were very far behind when compared to others at the same time. Language, technology, ideas were all very far behind in comparison to say Northern and Western Africa.

But, its hard to argue that enslavement and colonization was not a huge negative to the Region.

They may think that, but would they have been any worse off believing in the "old" gods? I doubt it. I think they'd probably be better off actually.

I don't know who those people are because bad government policy, like slavery, Jim Crow, redlining, etc, are self-evidently leading causes here.

I don't think the op can comprehend any of that. I mean that he literally can't because it's not within his personal experience and not the least bit curious how things have progressed and why lest it trouble his world view. Just that black people have mysteriously failed to look after themselves as a result of unexplained cultural/moral failings.

I would say the issues are larger than molehills, but, nowhere near as big as many on the Left seem to believe.

But, you seemed to have shifted from your original post of Nothing hold people back to, being held back but largely equal in scope and scale.

I meant it as there is nothing special about the color of your skin that is holding you back compared to someone else based on the color of their skin. Racism comes form both sides hot and heavy today, i've been a victim of socially acceptable discrimination in the form of affirmative action. I've been harrassed by cops, the ol' "can we search your car or we'll call the dogs anyway" routine, handcuffed, patted down for nothing, all that, and multiple times. Sorry but not sorry I was raised to be respectable, culture issues come into play here. There is "NOTHING" that will stop someone from achieving in America based on skin color, if they want to achieve and don't make retarded decisions along the way.

Well, how can you say its equal but also say its not equal? I asked you before if you thought it was equal, and you said no. But, here you say there is nothing special about being held back by your race.

Also, not everyone is equal in ability. The hurdles one might have to overcome might be enough to hold that person back from success.

Since he came out as "pro slavery", I don't believe that Jesse Lee Peternson has any credibility in this world.
Being a self loathing black man can earn you a living on the right wing circuit. Not surprised.

Yeah anyone can have an opinion but being pro-slavery, like you said, credibility=0

This whole idea that someone gets ahead or is pulled back in life due to their race is absolute bullshit. It is outdated thinking liberals push as they continue their push to swap places with conservatives and become the party of old thinking and outdated ideals while the conservatives move forward with constitution-first views.

In this video Jesse Lee Peterson debates a woman of color, a woman that thinks she only got into UCLA because of affirmative action while she ignores the fact that her father got into Harvard before her on his own merits.

In this video Ben Shaprio points out how issues with culture are to blame, not racism. Why do minorities have so many single parents, why do minorities account for such a high percentage of the homicide rate? Why has single motherhood among African Americans tripled from the 60's to today?

It is time the liberals stop fooling minorities, get them off the plantation, let's stop the leftist racist narrative that only harms society and fools people into thinking they are victims. Opportunity is there for anyone that wants to put the work in.

Right, the left wants to lower the bar for everyone, but doing so hurts the average.

Sure, but, that does not answer my question.

I thought you said it was not equal, but, you just made the post before that made it seem like it was equal.

What is stopping minorities from achieving if the want to and make smart decisions?

Nothing.

This will seem like a deflection, but, I promise there is a point to this.

Why do you think kids raised by married parents typically do better than single parents?

Scientific consensus doesn't give a fuck about your feelings and more than proves racism is alive and well and whites benefit from it most in the US:

But thanks for the propaganda. I'll stick with established scientific fact.
