I agree with you ride....that kind of thing is absolutely indefensible.

I have yet to hear of a specific instance of it yet though. I'll be waiting to see.

Jesse Jackson is on CNN right now and below him is the caption:

Race(ism) Too Close To Call.

OK, so I added the ism but you get what I mean. What a sad example of an african american only beat out by Louis Farrakan.

Fetts, I agree with you 100%. I'm incredibly sick of seeing that racist run his mouth and get attention and adoration from the national media that is pretrified of getting in his path for fear of being labled racist. Every time I hear or see that disgusting excuse for a human I want to throw up.

Most of the posts here forgot to say that some of your best friends are black people.

FeMike-

Ive read a lot of your posts today here and in other threads.

Are you just a tad bit testy today or is your tongue so far in your cheek that it hurts? :D

You are right, I don't trust either of them

Jesse Jackson has done more to bridge the gap between whites and minorites than Gore or Bush. He could lay waste to both of them in areas of Foreign Policy.

Max, leanin to the testy. Fact is I disagree with Jackson alot, but I like him as a person and I think that he is a positive influence in this world. That is quite a bit more than the bitchers and complainers and GOD knows what else, posting here.

Jackson - Doesn't have a positive influence. He causes more trouble than he should. If he wants to promote civil right then he needs to do is respectfully and thats for his race, and for the people he chooses to speak to.

I also have a positive influence in my community too, I just don't put the groups down that I am supposedly helping! I guess thats the difference in me and him. I'm ethical.

Before someone even asks I volunteer with the: Cub Scouts, United Way, Red Cross (just signed up), Clean Sweep, Community Roots Day, Operation Christmas, Diabetes Foundation.

BTW, maybe JJ could take note, you make more of a difference if you help people in your community than running from one place to another whenever there's news to be heard!!

Jackson is a race baiter. He doesn't have any desire to end racism. If it did, he'd have no soapbox left to stand on. His interests lie in the continuation of racism.

Thanks for the reply, FeMike

Was just curious. You are, of course, entitled to your opinion. Enjoy most of your posts even tho I dont agree with a lot of them.

You know I think Jesse likes the controversy .. thats why he does it ... if they were no race "problem" ... he would be out of a job ... I think he does more to hurt the issues than he helps... I have no respect for people who are always trying to say everything is racial. My brother got jumped on by 4 black boys when he was either in 8 or 9th grade ... luckily my brother has been in Martial Arts and was able to defend himself. Neither my brother or my parents thought it was a racially motivated attack ... but let it happen now but it be 4 white boys jumping on a black boy and you can guarantee whether it was racially motivated to begin with ... in a few hours and some media coverage it soon would be. And its a shame ... There are alot of stuff that goes on between people that starts out as simple disagreements and get blown out of proportion. If those 4 boys that got kicked out for starting that riot at the football game had been white and were kicked out ... no one would have ever heard about it again.

J.J. has done some admirable things. But I agree with most everyone else here: he entices ill-will and class warfare, is more politician than "reverend" and generally sticks his nose where it doesn't belong. It also bothers me there are questions about J.J. receiving taxpayer money from the DNC. Being a multi-millionaire, of course he won't open up his records for inspection.
