I haven't seen the show, just clips. There are many beaches on the Jersey Shore. Each one has a different atmosphere. This show is filmed in Seaside Heights, which is not known for being one of the more... upscale locations.

My parents used to take us to Seaside Heights when I was a kid because it has a boardwalk. My brothers and I had great fun at Lucky Leo's arcade (I beat the Simpsons arcade game there), and that had Gravitron at the mini amusement park at one end of the boardwalk (best carnival ride ever). My wife's family has a house on LBI, so she's an elitist Seaside hater.
 
I have some guilty pleasure TV shows, but I could not possibly imagine watching entire episodes of that. The girls aren't even hot. 🙁

Who else LOL'd when they saw the one guy fist pumping in the ocean all by himself

yes it is 100% like depicted in seaside heights. Jersey has alot of shore line but there further south you go the less the NY, northern jersey guido invasion.

watched some online... gotta say it was awesome on many levels. theres a guy who calls himself "the situation" because of his six-pack... i dont care if its scripted or not, thats funny!

shows like it make me feel sorry for our fucking country....from what i have seen, i would rather crash on a motorcycle, then pour 90% isopropyl alcohol on the wounds.
 
Sleazeside is a shithole. I'm embarrassed that I grew up in the same state as that place.

NIAF is up in arms about its portrayal of Italian-Americans. Good ol' guidos, giving us a great name.
