The Sci-Fi channel already has picked up the rights to show seasons 1 and 2. They will probably buy more episodes. I bet CBS will make them show it at times where they don't have to worry about it bring down their ratings. According to wikipedia, it's on the Sci-Fi Channel's webstie that they are in talks with CBS to get the show.
Eh, decided to verify.
Link to article.
If you want to save the show, at the end of the article there is an address to write a letter to the Sci Fi Channel to have them pick it up.
Start writing!

We know who really dropped the bomb...CBS. Seriously, WTF? I started to watch it again for season 2, but had to switch to streaming online since they pulled the old timeslot change again. Those Nielsen guys need to be thrown out the window when it comes to analyzing ratings. It isn't just Jericho that they got things wrong about. Guess I'll have to tune out yet another CBS reality show that they will replace it with. Oh well. Back to the internet....

Only a few things were particularly rushed/sloppy. Such as:
1) Abracadabra! We're in Cheyenne!
2) Ooh another secret agent...this time he's asian!....whoops, he's dead. That was careless.
3) Oh look, the evil secret bad guy is throwing all his caution to the wind and posing as an EMT!
4) Wow! Jake can fly airplanes!
5) Wow, I didn't know Leerjets had missle-lock indicators.
Beyond that though, it really wasn't too bad. Hopefully Sci-Fi does pick it up and continue with it. I'd love to see some civil war action.

Scifi said they won't pick Jericho up since they're creating their own P.O.S. show based on the same concept (since they saw Jericho has a strong core audience).
Jericho will have to find a home on TNT or CW (6M loyal viewers is great for a their station).....and then we'll see if, with the lower salary dynamics, they can sign Skeet, b/c without Skeet, there is no viability for a run.

So in the very last scene, when Hawkins said his line and then turned over and closed his eyes, were they suggesting that he died? Or just passed out / fatigued?

I got the impression that he simply passed out. They were safe, in friendly hands, and with medical care.
