I bet CBS will make them show it at times where they don't have to worry about it bring down their ratings. According to wikipedia, it's on the Sci-Fi Channel's webstie that they are in talks with CBS to get the show.

Eh, decided to verify.
Link to article.
If you want to save the show, at the end of the article there is an address to write a letter to the Sci Fi Channel to have them pick it up.

Start writing!

As long as they don't use those cheap movie-making effects they use for their straight-to-SciFi movies :Q

I'd love to see it return! The final episode felt very sloppy. The gunfight scene by the ambulance felt like it was sped up 1.5x, a lot of the frames looked cropped waaaay too close, and it looks like they didn't even do good color correction on some shots, like inside the ambulance. I'm guessing they ran out of time and had to focus on the big scenes :(

So this show will be replaced by some STUPID "Hidden talents of the Stars" show!?

wtf?

I don't watch anything else on CBS other than Jericho and with good reason.

Edit: and the finale was too rushed but that was expected. I wanted to see some more civil war action!

We know who really dropped the bomb...CBS. Seriously, WTF? I started to watch it again for season 2, but had to switch to streaming online since they pulled the old timeslot change again. Those Nielsen guys need to be thrown out the window when it comes to analyzing ratings. It isn't just Jericho that they got things wrong about. Guess I'll have to tune out yet another CBS reality show that they will replace it with. Oh well. Back to the internet....

Season 3: The Jericho heroes discover new evidence than Jennings & Rall was not, in fact, behind the attack...

Only a few things were particularly rushed/sloppy. Such as:

1) Abracadabra! We're in Cheyenne!
2) Ooh another secret agent...this time he's asian!....whoops, he's dead. That was careless.
3) Oh look, the evil secret bad guy is throwing all his caution to the wind and posing as an EMT!
4) Wow! Jake can fly airplanes!
5) Wow, I didn't know Leerjets had missle-lock indicators.

Beyond that though, it really wasn't too bad. Hopefully Sci-Fi does pick it up and continue with it. I'd love to see some civil war action.

Scifi said they won't pick Jericho up since they're creating their own P.O.S. show based on the same concept (since they saw Jericho has a strong core audience).

Jericho will have to find a home on TNT or CW (6M loyal viewers is great for a their station).....and then we'll see if, with the lower salary dynamics, they can sign Skeet, b/c without Skeet, there is no viability for a run.

Man...if Sci-fi ever cared about a show with a strong core audience, then they should pick up and bring back Firefly, which is much more suited to their network's name.

I like Jericho, but I'd throw it in the shredder if it meant there was a chance for firefly to ever come back. *sigh* :(

5) It was a Diplomatic vehicle for Texas, so it would likely receive certain upgrades out of the ordinary

SPOILER ALERT DON'T READ ANY FURTHER IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE LAST EPISODE...

So in the very last scene, when Hawkins said his line and then turned over and closed his eyes, were they suggesting that he died? Or just passed out / fatigued?

I got the impression that he simply passed out. They were safe, in friendly hands, and with medical care.

Um, how else do you expect them to wrap up a series in one episode?

Black Jaur cannot be killed, he simply was resting momentarily to allow his body to regenerate. :)

i doubt the CW would pick it up since they are trying to tailor their programming towards the female audience now.

would be great for the show to be picked up, but i don't see it happening:(

Perhaps Tyler Perry can pick up rights to Jericho and turn it into a post-apocalyptic family sitcom?

Just give Skeet some black face paint.

I also noticed they have same-day shuttle service between Jericho and Cheyenne. Old Gray was back home in a flash. When you have only one episode to wrap up a half-season's plot lines, I guess extreme time compression is required.

For the Record: that was no Learjet. It was a Cessna Citation, I think a model 550 (Citation II). Not exactly a high-performance aircraft; its cruise speed is only 385 knots. As noted, it had a SERIOUS upgrade to parts its avionics package. That moving map display, by comparison, was quite crude. I've seen better in a new 172.

They really should have killed Hawkins. The music lead up to it and everything and for a quarter second I thought Jake was about to get that look on his face of "OH NO YOU DON'T!" but then it went away and they lost a moment that would have been perfect.
