Jeopardy champ loses

well this is definitely off topic, but who watched? i decided to tune in because i heard it was going to happen.

i don't know if he always bet like that on double jeopardies (lol) but that is obviously what cost him... although, wow... 2.5 mil. imagine the PCs you'd be buildin with that cake... 😀 i'd try to build a holodeck. 😀 LOL

Wait it's on tonight?! Fvck man we've got a bball game at 7. I gotta make a choice right now... show up late and maybe miss a few early big plays or miss seeing this guy end. Tis a sad sad day in the world of Jeopardy.

You guys can be such fvcking douches, the guy is new and probably hasn't been around long enough to think about searching frantically before posting anything.

It was a fluke that he lost - not only did he miss the final jeopardy question but he missed 2 double jeopardy questions worth $4800 each.

So it's a fluke that he didn't know the answers?

Perhaps fluke is a wrong way of putting it, but something was very odd about his loss.
Normally the guy rolls everyone. And what's the deal with his final answer? FedEX? WTF?

amazing he lost on such an easy question.... (I even knew it)

He must have gone blank, cuz his answer wasn't even close

My mom's answer was UPS. If you misread white-collar as blue-collar, then a shipping company would make sense during the holiday season.

i think he was a little stunned by the fact he lost two double jeopardies in a row.

But yea wtf....Fedex can be considered blue collar, has 250,000 employees, and works year round....

Nah. H&R Block works all year. They just don't get much done.

According to thier website, this year they had 96,000 seasonal associates and 15,000 full time associates.

I've been seeing more and more H&R Block commercials and marketing.....granted, tax season is ahead of us, but it's very suspicious....can you say Product Placement....

I'm sure this has been asked before, but has he gotten any money before he lost?

I'm sure a bank could float him a loan if they watched TV.

Nope. Jeopardy does not give any prize money until after the loss is aired. They tell contestants they will expect to receive the prize money between 1 - 120 days after this date. And from reading the official Jeopardy discussion forums, all contestants receive the money near the 120 days later.
