The rollout of Android 4.1, Jelly Bean, begins today, starting with Galaxy Nexus HSPA+ devices.

Jelly Bean makes everything feel fast, fluid, and smooth. Notifications are expandable and actionable, widgets are magical and the keyboard is smarter and more accurate: http://www.android.com/whatsnew/

Jelly Bean also features a redesigned search experience, with a new user interface and faster Voice Search...

And now to spend the next 3 or 4 months b*tching at Verizon over the lack of JellyBean update. 😛

Damn my welfare Canadian yakjuux phone.
Anyone found an app that you can install on your PC and plug in your phone and root and flash that thing just by clicking buttons? I really am a ruhtard.

success! 🙂

Got the file and ready to flash. Time to fastboot command cwm recovery.

Man, I miss the D1 days when you just copied the update.zip file to the file system and held the up button while booting to flash. Now you need an unlocked boot loader. While that isn't hard to do I'm not doing an entire wipe of my phone (my bootloader isn't unlocked) just to flash an update a few days early 🙁

I've read that deodex'ing a ROM can hurt smoothness, and it definitely hurts boot times. Anyone know anything about it?
Not concerned about boot times, I reboot my phone...umm...when flashing ROMs. Thats about it. Its certainly smooth enough for me.

Adobe Flash works but shows as incompatible on the Google Play Store. So if you're interested in keeping Flash, it's best to install it before updating to 4.1.1.

Just got my OTA JB update and Flash doesn't show up on my list of installed apps, but the settings shortcut is still in the app tray and does still work.
